Rutgers’ Athan Kaliakmanis leads bowl-bound Scarlet Knights to win over Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The floodlights dimmed and the red dots darted around the field at SECU Stadium as the fourth quarter was set to begin. Rutgers quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis stood behind center, ready to take the snap, but he had to wait until the officials gave him the go-ahead after the stadium malfunction.
He then showed why he earned that spotlight.
